How The Vendemmia Foundation Started…
Twenty years ago, Dr. Gerard Vernose had an idea about creating an event to celebrate local winemaking at harvest time (the Italian meaning of the word Vendemmia) – a personal hobby and passion handed down by his father and Italian-born grandfather, but he also wanted the celebration give something back to his childhood community. Hence the Vendemmia Foundation/Scholarship Program and annual Wine Festival were born. You come-a, eh?
